Time & Place Changes
When we use reported speech, we often change time and place expressions.
Examples:
now → then
today → that day
tomorrow → the next day
yesterday → the day before
here → there
this → that
Example: “I am here now.” → He said he was there then.
[„Ich bin jetzt hier.“ → Er sagte, dass er damals dort war.]
