Going to – Intentions and Plans (1–25)

GOING TO → use it for something you intend to do because you have already thought about it or planned it.

Example: I’m going to visit my grandparents this Easter.

We often use going to when:
• you have a plan
• you have already decided
• the idea is already in your mind

Example meaning:
I’m going to travel next week. = I have already thought about it. It is my intention / plan.

Form:
I am going to + verb (infinitive) ...
He / She is going to + verb infinitive...
We / They are going to + verb infinitive) ...

Kurz erklärt auf Deutsch:

Going to benutzt man, wenn man etwas vorhat, weil man schon darüber nachgedacht oder es geplant hat.

Beispiel:
I’m going to visit my grandparents.
= Ich habe schon daran gedacht / es geplant und habe die Absicht, das zu tun.

Formen:
I am going to play tennis tomorrow
he / she is going to play tennis tomorrow
