• Adverbs | A short Explanation

Adverbs are words that modify or describe verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs. They often tell us how, when, where, or to what extent something happens.
    1. Adverbs Modifying Verbs
    • How: She sings beautifully. (Describes how she sings)
    • When: They arrived yesterday. (Describes when they arrived)
    • Where: He looked everywhere. (Describes where he looked)
    • To what extent: She is completely exhausted. (Describes to what extent she is exhausted)
    2. Adverbs Modifying Adjectives
    • Example: The movie was incredibly exciting.
      • Here, "incredibly" modifies the adjective "exciting," making the excitement more intense.
    3. Adverbs Modifying Other Adverbs
    • Example: She ran very quickly.
      • In this case, "very" modifies the adverb "quickly," enhancing the speed described.
    Common Adverb Examples:
    • How: quickly, carefully, loudly
    • When: now, later, often
    • Where: here, there, everywhere
    • To what extent: completely, very, quite
Note: Many adverbs end in "-ly", but not all do (e.g., fast, well, never).
