Grammar Explanation

Use the Simple Present for state verbs connected to emotions, senses, needs, and preferences. These verbs usually describe a feeling, opinion, perception, or condition.

Use the Present Progressive for actions happening now, temporary activities, and changing situations. Some verbs can be action verbs in one sentence and state verbs in another.
